Wiring troubleshooting
I’m not getting any power to my trailer plug at all all. I have removed the trailer connector and tested at the trucks connector but still nothing.
im an amateur mechanic with limited tools so I’m sure this wasn’t the best way but I stripped a little bit of coating off the wire right behind the connector still no power. So then I located the wire right outside of the fuse box and stripped just a little tiny bit back there still nothing.
I know this wasn’t the correct way, but I’m running out of ideas. I have checked ever possible fuse and relay I can find online. If someone wants to post something they have on the fuses and relays to make sure I have checked them all just in case you can but I’ve checked just about everything in the fuse box at this point.
I also want to mention there was a blown fuse #26 and #100. I thought it was going to be an easy fix just replacing those but still nothing.
I know the post is a little long but any help would be greatly appreciated! I really am running out of ideas. If I’m not getting any power even coming right out of the fuse box a little bit, the problem has to before that I would think.
In the owners manual starting on page 324 fuses.
Passenger kick panel fuses. 13, 14, 15, 31
Engine compartment fuses. 22, 26, 70, 75, 90, 100, 102
Should get you started with eliminating all trailer fuses/ relays.
