Trailer connector, no power
Hi there everyone!!! I have a problem with the trailer connector on my '98 B4000. The connector looks intact and original equipment, but I get no power to it. I have checked and found one dead fuse and replaced it, but still get no power. Is there a switch or breaker I have to thow somewhere??? Thanks in advance.

You should get right turn at the DG wire (fuse 7, fuse box) left at YE wire (fuse 3, fuse box) and running lights through the BN/WH wire only with the main light switch on (fuse 5 battery junction box). BK wire should have minimal resistance to ground.

you need to better explain the problem. no lights period or just one etc. is it plugged into a factory harness, is it a home job?
if it is in a factory plug in is it plugged in under the hood/dash?
be a little more specific when you post a problem if you need a reply!

Sorry I wasn't clear enough. My problem is that I get no power at all. Tried cleaning out the connector, but this doesn't seem to help. It looks like a factory job. I'll check to see if there is a connector undone under the dash (hadn't considered the possibility) Thanks

when you say at the plug, are you referring to the connector plug or the wire loom? If its at the connector there could be a problem with al the connectors, slight but a possibility. Also check the wire loom all the way back as it could have a break in it.
