i was having issues were my fan would only work on med-high . Figured my blower motor resistor was going bad . Went to check , and noticed plug was deteriorating. So I ordered a new plug and blower motor resistor. While I had it apart I sprayed some coil cleaner to clean the fins of the A/C .
I put everything back together till the parts came in. I was able to still have blower run on med-high.
but I noticed my climate control was stuck on defrost.
did some research, and I found that maybe my pulse vacuum actuator might be bad. Hard to believe it would go bad at the same time . Idk . I heard someone else say there is a vacuum line behind the glovebox to check . Didn’t really see one.
has this happened to anyone else, and what did you do?
thank you for your time
Yep, this is a very common issue. Check that your vacuum pump (passenger side in engine compartment bolted to inner fender) is working. Check all vacuum lines.
