Product images may differ from actual product appearance.
If you're looking for a top quality fuel pump that will perform under street and strip use up to 400 horsepower, the Mister has the hot ticket! Their chrome plated pumps feature an 8 psi shutoff pressure with fuel delivery up to 80 gallons per hour free flow. 1/4'' NPT inlet/outlet ports provide adequate fuel supply and supplied fittings help finish out your installation. Note: For use only on applications without vapor return lines.
thats more than enough fuel flow for a 670 or 750 carb. I am using a stock pump for a 600 edlebrock with no problems. the 8 psi shut off sounds nice but know that some carbs claim they can be damaged over 7 psi you would have to check the specs for any particular carb. to you have a regulator in place with what you have now?
i don't have a regulator right now, from what i have heard for the guys at jegs perfomance parts is that holleys like the little higher pressures. but when it comes to carbs. i am an idoit. i think i will just go with the mechanical now for simplicity, hopefully one less electronic thing to go out on the trail. i just hope the idiot that own this truck before me didn't take out the eccentric for any reason, or that the engine builders didn't remove it either. thanks for your help.
now i am wondering... you think i should run a fuel pressure regulator? what brand should i use? sorry to keep asking all these questions, but i am sick of things going wrong with this truck and i want it right.
ok now i looked as best i could , i don't think i have the eccentric for the mechanical fuel pump, what does it look like exactly? should i be able to see the timming chain through the fuel pump hole? how far back is it? so i am back to an elecrtic. so heres a new question, should i run two pumps one for the front tank and one for the rear? and just switch between the two? is there a way to run off of my tank selector switch? need help!!!
