Was driving today and I had to slam on the brakes rather quick to avoid going through the traffic light. When I came to a complete stop, the truck had elevated rpms for about 10 seconds and then finally dropped into 1st gear. This is the first time this has happened and doesn’t happen when coming to w normal stop.
PCM is a rebuilt that ive had for a month now, PSOM i suspect needs a rebuild, my needle is slightly erractic.

Trans filter and fluid is new.
All forward gears shift smooth up and down
If you read the fluid level with the trans cold and the engine off, all that you can determine is that there is fluid in there. You could be a gallon overfilled, or even a gallon low. There is no way to tell.
The trans fluid MUST be read with the trans warmed up, engine idling, and the shifter in park.
