Keys for door locks

Just a quick question for you guys, were the door locks on 53 to 55 trucks keyed with the ignition key or a separate key. Our 55 f350 ignition key won’t work in the door locks so I was wondering if they have been changed?
Thanks

Thanks John.
I am headed to London tomorrow to a place that says he should be able to key the door locks. He figures he can get to it in the next couple of weeks.

Not in my experience. There was a two key set (separate door and ignition) for most vehicles into the 1960s.

That's how I recall it was on my 50, one key worked both. I only had one key.

Don't know if anything has been changed but my truck uses one key for both doors and the ignition. One of the keys looks like an original while the other is obviously a cheap copy.

Mine had one key for the door and ignition. Now that I've upgraded to 5 Star Plus, I do have a separate key for the Glove Box.

On my 48 one key worked both locks until I had to replace the ignition switch a few years ago.

Ok thanks for everyone that commented their original trucks being set up like this! I also just got confirmation from a friend that knows these original truck
details very well. 48-52 at least had one key unless 51-52 had a glove box key- that was a separate key. So somehow 53 and up that might have been changed as to the OP’s question was those date ranges.
