78 lighting gremlins

I recently bought a 78 f150 and I've been chasing a lighting issues for a few months.I've replaced all the light sockets.replaced the turn signal switchheadlight switchchased wires fixed questionable wires checked grounds body grounds engine grounds, and i still can't get my rear lights to work. All the front lights work, t/s, H/lights and r/lights. nothing on the backend, expect the left turn signal will flash weakly. Nothing on the right.and when i turn on e flashers both lights will barely flash.but nothing on the rare when i turn on the running lights and the left dash indicator will light up, turn the running lights off and i get the one flasher back.I'm completely stumped.edit and zero brake lights.

Turning on the running lights and the turn indicator lighting up is a indicator you have no ground back there. I do not know how you have your grounding. If you have a ground at the rear, grind a place on the frame shiny and put all your light grounds to that. If you are relying on the metal light socket for a ground, you might have to add some ground jumper wires here and there.

Then go up front and make another shiny spot on the frame, and run a ground wire from that up to the negative post on the battery. See what that does.
