They don't use chips anymore but you can get a tuner that downloads a new program but with the EPA stepping up emission compliance their not near as popular. Not sure what you are after but more performance and higher mileage don't go together, normally it's one or the other. I will admit that the easier you drive the 6.2 the more it detunes it's self and the performance goes down with a small increase in mileage but if you drive it hard or haul or pull a heavy load it will come back. The best performance upgrade would be to install 4.30 gears if it doesn't already have them but if it had them you wouldn't be asking your question
