I’ve got DD SS3 Pro Fogs in the front bumper and Floods under the rear bumper. They’re great lights. I’ve never seen the hitch light, but imagine it probably just provides increased light right behind the truck, probably improves seeing the backup camera but wouldn’t think it provides much added light to the sides of the truck. I like a LOT of light tho, others may not need as much light as I like to have.
I pre-ordered one for my wife's truck and installed it couple of days ago. Works fine in her Nissan. I got the version with the flashing third brake light option. She hasn't driven her truck at night yet to give me a report on how bright the light is when backing up though.
Installed with a 3” to 2” reducer. Works great. No issues with install or function. Easy plug and play. Had to drop the spare tire to fit the plug in the back of the hitch. Only necessary to drop the tire because of the larger tires on Tremor.
Does the one light, light enough for mirrors or just camera?
Here’s a link that has a video. Actually looks like it puts out a reasonable amount of light in darkness to see better. I don’t have one but have been thinking about it.

Awesome install, thanks for sharing!
We are glad to hear your install was fairly smooth!
It definitely adds more light for the rear camera. A little more light for the side mirrors. Helps with backing up my 100’ long driveway and staying off the grass. I don’t need more light, but would like more light. The plug and play option is what sold me. Also the clean look after install. I had some rigid ignites on my last truck hooked to upfitters. I kept forgetting to turn them off since I didn’t have them hooked in with reverse.
Very happy with this light for the price, ease of install and light output.
I use Rock Tamers when towing and have been looking for an easy installation to increase illumination when hitching up or just digging around in the front trailer locker where the straps are stored. The typical bumper or receiver mounted light pods would be covered by the Rock Tamers. Has anyone installed this unit directly above the receiver or perhaps even on the bumper step near the license plate?
I use my hitch for a bike rack, so I bought an extra hitch receiver tube and then used U-bolts to attach to the under part of the OEM receiver, just to the side of the center tube. This would have worked except the hitch light throws off my F350's computer and shuts down all the safety tech. The truck thinks there is a trailer attached. I specifically asked about this issue to DD and they assured my it would work fine. Pretty frustrated since I invested time and money in the parts needed to make this work.
