I am not sure you and I are in disagreement. GVWR has always been clearly defined. The disagreement from my perspective centers on how people interprete whether exceedng it has any legal ramifications and whether exceeding it affects insurance coverage. Civil suits seem to be the accepted wild card. Me personally I am always within my sticker weights and have my scale tickets in the console. Color Sally Safe! I don't care what anyone else does and I am sure they do not care what I do.

I agree with RV Tech, this has become a dead horse so let's stop beating it. And I also err on the side of caution. My truck and trailer are out of warranty so i don't have to worry about that, I do not choose to risk if an accident occurs that the police might find me in violation and I also don't want some bone head who decides to sue me and his lawyer across the table saying I have to pay.
I also agree with Mickey Bitsko in do what makes you comfortable and happy trails.
