Never before seen Coolant Leak.....
Merry Christmas to all! It couldn't happen at a worse time. My 2002 F-250 (5.4L 2V CCLB 4WD 227,000 miles) has a known Head Gasket leak and is going in the shop in January to repair it. They will be unpacking most of the engine to fix it, as you all know. This morning I woke up to see my coolant dripping slowly from the area above the bell housing, Central Florida got down to 28 degrees overnight, don't worry former NY'er and I am used to it. Now, I have never seen coolant leak from that area and was just wondering where to look today when I have at it. Any ideas what it could be. The driveway has a very slight incline less than 5 degrees. The head Gasket issue is about 5 months old and have been adding the coolant mixture when it gets low. This morning quite a bit leaked out as visible from the coolant reservoir. I am bummed as I hope it's not anything major. UGH!! Merry Christmas to me.......
