Battery Help Please

If I change one battery at a time will my settings remain or will they go away and have to be reset?
Also - what do you guys use for max CCA batteries on a 6.7 diesel 2012 F350 ?? Mine has 3 yr old Motorcraft, had the block heater plugged in last night and it wouldn't start this am. Plugged trickle charger in and it said 80% charge but still wouldn't crank at all....

Does it crank?

Did you wait for the glow plug light to go out before cranking? Turn the key on and wait for the yellow glow plug light to go out then crank, if less than 30 seconds cycle again at least twice and then crank. You likely need new glow plugs. They only help the engine to start when cold.

I tried it first with the remote start, lights flashed like normal but truck didn't start and horn honked once. Then I went out with the key and tried it - didn't crank it only clicked. I left trickle charger on it all day, got home and used key - first time I turned it just clicked, cycled it back and 2nd time it started just fine. I dunno what glow plug light looks like or where it is - guess I need to Google that. We haven't had temps even close to this cold since I've owned the truck...

AGM

Have you ever used AGM batteries? I had one in my Excursion and just put 2 in my 2005 F-350. Spins the starter crazy fast even in the -30° we had last week. They are 750CCA. I have seen maybe 800CCA in a flooded battery, but AGM seems to last longer for me. I got Diehards at Advance Auto.

Yes to your question about doing one at a time, the settings will remain the same if you didn't already change.
