When I replaced my vaporized dash cluster I also bought new bulb sockets. The new sockets are not clocked correctly and when turned to tighten they do not make contact with the ribbon. the old sockets are a little loose and constantly stop working.
Hey Chris, I got some off Amazon when I was trying to upgrade to a gauge cluster. Ended up scrapping the project and got a completely different style gauge cluster. I’ve got a bunch laying around that are new or only were on for a few weeks that worked in the stock cluster. Pm me you address and I can send them to you.
Bend the metal contacts out a little on your old sockets. Occasionally a contact will break off if bent too far. Polish the contacts with fine sandpaper. Clean inside the socket where the bulb makes contact, as well as the contacts on the bulb itself. Doing that usually gets the sockets & lights working well.
