Guys, did a search on this and didnt find anything, this morning I noticed 1/2 of my tach (right corner) is not backlit, the reset of the instrument panel is lit up fine. Are there seperate bulbs back there, any tips on replacing ?? Any help would be greatly appreciated .. Thanks
Yes there are several little bulbs back there, about 8 I think, I changed mine out a few months back, you have to take out the entire dash, but it is not too bad. You can take it out and put in all back in, in an hour easy. But take it out, pull the entire guage cluster out, and unplug it, and then you can pull the bulbs. DO NOT!! Go to the dealership for these bulbs, you can get them at Wal-Mart or any auto parts store, I think they are 194's, I think. But good luck, and if I were you, I would replace all of them now while you have everything out.
Call this guy Karl (Old Post Below). I had the same problem a few months ago. I replaced all my bulbs while I had the dash out. Karl was a big help, he faxed me the diagram of the dash and what screws that needed to be removed. It took me about 10 minutes to replace all bulbs. Good Luck.
I have a copy of the installation instructions for replacing the bulbs in your dash. Give me a call and I will fax them over to you.
Thanks
Karl Levy
