No one asked for my opinion, but I don't see it as an improvement over what we had. Someone must have thought a change was a good idea, but I can't imagine why.
Went to a meeting and came back to find someone moved my cheese. Looks like someone is pre-emptively trying to keep their big tech job amidst all the layoffs.
And then I see this lock and get afraid the thread has been locked.
The vintage pics thread can't be locked. It's too important. It's not locked so I don't know that the lock icon is for.
I know I don't care for the changes but they are here whether we like it or not..
Yep, we will get used to them over time. I figure by the time we are comfortable with them they will change it all up.
They still have bugs to work out though. The lock does mean that the thread is closed. But the vintage pics thread is open but has the lock. Maybe it is confused since there are so many posts and views to that thread.
I think the lock along with the other symbols mean you haven't opened it yet and read the new reply, that's my guess anyway..
Actually what that means is the number of posts you have in that particular thread, just discovered it on my own..
I just did a quick look at few of the other FTE forums. They all of course have the new symbols, but interestingly, they don't have a thread like ours reacting to the change. This is just another example of how our group is a little different from the others.
