Gear indicator cable repair?
My gear shift indicator on my ‘06 E350 is stuck in first gear. Shifts into all the gears fine. I examined the loop on the end of the cable and it’s broken. My Ford dealer said there are no assembly units available anywhere in the US till February.
Has anyone repaired the loop at the end
of the cable? There’s very little material to work with and looks damn near impossible to re-tie it or repair it in any way. Recommendations welcome.

Might find one on eBay too----typically they're part of an entire instrument cluster especially if pulled by yourself from a DIY salvage yard. That part can also be found in a similar year F-Series as those shared the cluster housing with the E-Series.
