It is hard to find decent shops no matter where you are located. The real good shops are often very expensive, and even some of those will rip you off.
It seems the best option may be to take the truck apart yourself and take the body parts to be worked on and painted, then reinstall them yourself.
Thanks guys.
Should be there in 90 minutes time waiting with a tow vehicle.
Found a short term place to store it while the "real" workshop takes a break over Christmas. (Around ten days).
It's a secure yard with a tall fence and an old guy who lives on the premises with a dog. Should be safe enough
In the meantime
Seeking emergency housing LoL!
Here she is, boys! Hi tailing it outta there and to her new sanctuary for ten days. Phew! Was a heavy scene getting it out of there, but in the end, to his credit, I was not hindered.
Let the project begin!
Thanks for all your support, guys and gals. I was needing that
Glad it worked out for you, Peter! It's like the best Christmas present ever. Have a good afternoon, I'm going to bed. (11:15pm yesterday) Cheers for future progress!
I was just thinking about you, thinking time had to be about up. Hope all goes well and you get satisfaction with all your parts back.
Thanks for those kind words, Wayne. It worked out okay in the end. Still have a tribunal hearing in about five weeks to deal with, but should be okay with a bit of luck.

Sounds like you will have a campfire story to tell. More than a few of us has had body shop horror stories, and hearing about others is a bit therapeutic in a way.
If you ever need a break from the local scene and wish to see the beautiful scenery and camaraderie at Central PA Truckstock, I'll happily introduce you to the story telling stage with a few warm-up stories first.
Glad the truck is back under your control, looking forward to reading about the next chapter in it's life.

Between the all the campers, storage shipping containers, and fencing, it looks like he has quite a "compound". Kind of an intimidating place to haul out your treasures to be sure. I am glad you got your truck back and you and your tow truck driver were safe!
Glad you have the truck back in your possession Peter! Its unfortunate it has come to this but now you can move on. A nice pressie for Christmas.
It took me a while but a couple months ago I think I finally figured out your user name. No looking back now.
