Inner driver door cable issue
On my 1989 f150 single cab, the door won't open from the inside because the cable is broken. I have half a mind to leave it as is and just continue to roll down the window to open the door. I also would like to open my door from the inside... It doesn't look too difficult, but difficult enough to replace. What are your thoughts?

I bet if you remove the door panel you will see that there is a rod and not a cable for the inner door handle. Look to see why it isn’t releasing the latch.

@My4Fordtrucks is correct. It is a simple rod linkage, and I am thinking the grommet holding the rod in place broke, and the rod fell off. If you feel no resistance when you use the interior handle that will be a sign of this. Pull your door panel off and it should be really obvious.
