Steering box rebuild
I dropped my spare steering box and shaft off for repair at a local machine shop a couple months ago. They called to say they got it as "tight as they could" and it is ready for pickup. They did not replace sector or worm gears, even though I suggested to them at the time that it would probably be required. They are going to see if they can source parts, but are not optimistic about finding them.
I contacted VanPelts 3 months ago, and was told they can provide worm gear but not the sector shaft. A search of DC and LMC says they do not carry them. Anyone know where I can purchase these gear parts?

Gearless in Alberta.

I think Kevin rebuilds those. I can't remember his name on FTE bigwin something. You might want to check with him.

Sorry guys I don't rebuild steering boxes, I'm the middle man in supplying a company with rebuildable cores 1953-1960 f100 boxes only

I don't know his actual business name but he uses these boxes after he modifies them to fit early fords/ model A's. He doesn't rebuild for the 53-60 truck applications.
