do i have remote start
My key has the 2x button. How can you tell if the truck came enabled to use remote start? If it does what has to be engaged for it to work. I have never used a remote start on anything.

Are you able to tell us anything about your truck? Year, trim, etc? That would be a good place to start. You may also be able to use a VIN decoder, although honestly, a lot of those are unreliable about trim and options.
I'm assuming if you hit the lock button and the 2x button twice, you don't hear it doing anything?

Yes I saw the answers.....If you run over to a dealer & get your Vin # run it for the window sticker (contains all options etc.) (I usually get it thru the head salesmen @ no charge but I do slip him a $10. Tim card after getting it)......
