Have some heat when temperatures are in the 50’s but when 30 is the high I have no heat. I believe my hot cold control to be working at least somewhat because I can switch it to cold and the vent air will be cold but switching it to hot it is only less cold. Where should I start looking?
My temperature gage at its warmest. I do believe it reads correctly because I’ve seen it go to the high side not to long ago when a coolant line started leaking.
The blend door is behind the glove box and it's controlled by a wire. I'd check to make sure it's not bent or binding. If you're getting full travel, I'd look at the heater color and attempt to flush it out since it's probably clogged with engine mud.
there is also a door in the plenum that gets buggered up from 30 years of crap falling down the defroster vents.
if it is stuck in the cold position, you will never get any heat.

thats the temp mine runs also even in 100+ heat, but my heat works good even below 30 it just takes along time to get there...my block heater is a great thing in the winter because when you start it it starts quik and the air is already slightly warm

I think one of these is very possible because the next day I cycled the hot/cold **** back and fourth and then started to get some heat. Not great heat but some heat.

ok thank you , at least I can rule out needing a different thermostat.
