1994 E150 doesnt idle in P
My van recently developed a problem when i put it in P. In the beginning it wouldnt start up in P, but when i put it in N it worked fine. Now, whenever i put it in P, it also stops running. Could this be a problem of corroded contacts? And is there an easy way to fix this?
It's a 1994 e150 with the 5.0 liter

It should not cause the engine to die if faulty or shorted
Interrogate the harness. (do a wiggle test on the harness) Inspect pins in a few key connectors, check the coil tower for corrosion
Check the fuel pressure when it dies and install a spark tester and check for spark when it dies as well
Good luck
I also have an update on the situation, and it gets pretty weird.
When i was having the problem that the car woudn't idle in N or P, that happened on a day that it was very rainy, and i drove through a couple of puddles of water. I think it started acting up straight after that.
The last few days the rain stopped, the climate got dry, and i took the van out for a 150 mile drive... and guess what, the problem went away

I dont really know what's going on, but i noticed t hat the lid on the fuse box in the engine bay sits on the box a little loosely, is that supposed to be like that? As a manner of precaution, i put a rubber strip along the inside edge to keep water out.
