Hi folks. This message is directed to Bill (NumberDummy) but anyone with info will be appreciated. I just acquired a 1966 F100 that is in really nice condition. With the truck, a FoMoCo box containing an NOS right hand exhaust manifold was given to me. The box no longer has the label attached, so no part number is available. All I have, is the casting/engineering number from the manifold itself. It is C5AE-9430-F. No where in my extensive parts books and microfiche slides including, the cross-reference, the OSI, etc. can I find this number. Any help to identify this manifold will be greatly appreciated.

About the only way is to find someone with the same casting number that knows for fact what vehicle it came on and then use the info from such a vehicle to find the part number. It does seem to be a right hand exhaust manifold from a mid-60's 352 or 390 or some other sized FE engine of the era. I could take a real wild guess at the part number, but I'd have about a 1 in 10 chance of getting it right.
Thanks for the replies. I just talked to the previous owner of the truck, and he says that the manifold in question, was bought for a 1963 Galaxie Fastback with a 390-4V. Does that make sense with a C5AE prefix for a 1963 car? He said he just gave it to me to get rid of it - it had nothing to do with the truck I bought from him.

Yes, you could buy parts with a C5 - 1965 prefix that will bolt onto and fit a 1963 or even back to a 1958 FE engine in some cases. Many parts interchange from 1958 to 1976. Glad the previous owner was able to help you out but it still doesn't help much with a part number since it's a newer year part than the car. Oh well.
