Has anyone found a dealer that is price protecting trucks, or did Ford loose enough money last year doing that where there is no such thing? I say loose money very loosely as they haven't lost a dime on the SD trucks, they just lost a few grand here and there on each sale.

Granger is price protecting again, but like mentioned above, they may not have any more allocations left. I would certainly contact them and see what they say. Also, I may be wrong, but if you can get X Plan that may price protect you too... not exactly sure, but X Plan should be a better deal than the other's out there too.

I may be wrong....I thought I was once, but I was mistaken... I think X Plan is applied to the invoice that is sent once the truck is delivered. So $1500 over invoice at time of order may be a better deal if there are price increases.

This is from the AZXD pricing agreement:
2. If vehicle was ordered prior to the announcement of a price increase, it may be eligible for price protection. Is vehicle eligible for price protection? YES NO (circle one)
Dealer may mail check to customer or decrease price. If dealer decreases the price, enter here: . . . . . . . . .
It’s weird to say that it may be eligible. Who determines whether it is?
That’s not 100% accurate. My 2022 order was and I had a friend’s who was. Mine went through one price increase while his went through three.
Chapman was no longer price protecting any orders that were place after around 1/1/22. Prior to that price was protected.
I had a 22 ordered early January and it was not price protected. That order was not going to be filled by Ford so Chapman offered to order a 23 with same deal, 4% below FINAL invoice.
I placed the 23 order and this below is in the confirmation email i reactive.

X-Plan price on Super Duty trucks is fixed at time of order. My X-Plan ordered 2019, 2020 F350 were price protected. I have 2 2022 trucks (F-350 & F-450) being built this week and next week ordered with X-Plsn. They are also price protected.

I was at my local dealer who has an X-Plan F-350 on order from me since December 2021. He told me that they are no longer doing X-Plan on ordered trucks. He also said that any previous orders after April 2022 are NOT Price Protected even with X-Plan. I was very surprised. Mine is Price Protected since it was ordered almost a year ago.
My '22 F-350 is supposed to be built next week.
He printed the Window sticker for me and the MSRP was up to $87,485 and new X-Plan price on invoice is $82,983.
The MSRP and X-Plan price on original DORA was novice was $81,705 and X=Plan $77,304.
So MSRP went up $5,780 and X-Plan price went up $5,678.
He is honoring the original X-Plan price. When I asked if I could order a 2023 F350 with X-Plan he said NO. Their allocations are very limited and next week the order banks will be closed. They are no longer accepting X-Plan and if they were they are no longer Price Protecting.
BTW, The F-350 Window sticker also has a line item listing a $50 credit for "Advanced Security Pack Removal" just like my 2022 F-450 order that is being built this week has.
