Every so often the battery light will come on then go off. Seems RPM related as higher RPM will sometimes result in light coming on.
Also, possibly related sometimes it will lose all interior power. All lights go out, dash goes dark, gauges go to zero. Just like the key was turned off. Then gauges will cycle through full deflection and everything goes back to normal like key was turned on again. Headlights, engine etc stay on.
I'm thinking there is a bad ground somewhere, like maybe engine ground strap?
Just looking for some thoughts on where to start looking.

Two separate problems:
1. The brushes in the alternator are wearing out and "floating" at higher RPMS. Time for a new alternator.
2. Probable intermittent connection in a circuit that feeds the affected items. Might be a failing switch, fuse holder, or connection.
