Was at a local Ford store this morning to drop my 2005 Lincoln off for transmission service. Wandered the lot while waiting for my ride.
I know this is the Super Duty forum but on occasion the F 150 is mentioned here and I know that some are interested in pricing in general so I post here only as a point of interest.
So I check out 3 Lightnings that were sitting on the lot. Below is the "market adjustment" that I saw. I'd hate to finance one, have a market "correction" and be so far upside down you'd never see daylight.
When shopping via Autotrader or cars.com, I tend to avoid any dealer who puts CALL for the price. If they can't be upfront with the price on the ad, then they don't deserve my business.
Thats WHY they are sitting on the lot and not in someones garage! Only those who have more money than brains would pay that much for an F-150.
A lightning is a toy with a bed on it. You can't use it for anything useful at this point. For that money give me a Corvette or ________ (insert your fav sports car here).
That's when you can get one, lol; the two I've actually seen were both mannequins- vehicles they're not allowed to sell, that exist to provide a physical item for customers to inspect and test drive.
As a fun note, I did have a chance to drive one after a scheduling conflict with their service department. It was fun, a lot of fun, but not $90k of fun.
Salesman enjoyed his drive back to the dealership, I have no doubt.

First generation Viper GTS, not that I could fit in it. 🤣
I think it just shows how dishonest some dealers can be. If I were you, I sure as hell would not consider buying anything from them in the future. I have been told that the dealers have been more profitable in the last 2 years than ever before. This due to the amount of used vehicle sales. The $$ is mostly made in Service and Parts. I can understand selling at sticker.... But this is a joke.

Not much chance of me buying there. As stated, I was there for a basic transmission service on my 2005 Lincoln LS.
There was just a transition of ownership at this particular Ford store, but I'd bought from the previous owner a few times in the past. While shopping to order the 2022 F 350 that I currently own, this dealership came in $13k less for my trade in than the dealer I ended up buying from. Not confidence inspiring at all.

You couldn't pay my $90,000 for ANY electric vehicle. I'm sitting back, watching, and waiting for the floor to fall out from under that whole side of the industry.

I think you'll have a very long wait.
Anyway, I've never paid a "market adjustment" on any vehicle I've ever purchased and would walk away from any dealer who tried to charge me one.
