Been searching for awhile for period correct looking tires for my '55 F100.Currently has Michelin 700Rx15(18 yrs old now) that are good look, only 5" tread width on the ground (would like a little more though). they are 8 ply and 60lbs air pressure is recommended and they are a rough ride in a 100% restored truck(in 2003) with 95% original equipment. I've been on 3-4 websites and the closest tire found is on a site call Tires-Easy .com. Its a Power King Super Highway 700-15 D/8 Ply. Has the right look for me, diameter is good, still an 8 ply(ugh), prob another inch of tread on the ground(that's ok),price is right. For a truck that's only pleasure driven in the country 7 months out of the year(I'm in north central florida) I think this tire will be ok. Opinions/suggestions, what are you original truck look guys running? I know I've seen some pics of original trucks on the forum with 'skinny' tires. Thanks in advance, Mike

Where did you get the recommended air pressure of 60 pounds? If you're talking about the marking on the sidewall, that's the maximum pressure allowed for maximum load capacity, not recommended running pressure. You could probably drop those down to 30 or 35 based on the weight of an F100 and have a much more comfortable ride.
Thank you Abe and 52 Merc. Abe your truck was one of the ones I was curious about. Speaking of selling trucks I agree with you on the big one. There just comes a time .I'm on my 4th truck since'86 and they come and they go. Last year this time I had 5 vehicles but now down to 3, I'll try to post a pic of my
truck.. 52Merc,I'm only running 40 lbs in the tires now. I'll go lower with the new ones like you mentioned. thanx guys
Finally an update, I bought the 700x15D/8 Ply Power King Super Highway tires from Tires-Easy.com. Freshly made in May of 2022. Mounted up and balanced well with weights only on inside of wheel, 40 lbs of pressure and a good ride. Priced right and foreign made for a truck driven only 6-7 months a year.
Abe, $ 535 for all for 4 delivered to my house. After what I paid last year to reshod my Z06 which I can drive year round these were a bargain. Merry Christmas
