Mental instability is not tattooed on their foreheads otherwise it would be too easy to spot the future mass shooter. the only thing they have in common it seems is that they are all males, and late teens/early twenties. The odds of getting involved in a mass hooting are slim true, but I have said it before, it is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. And I agree that some things you just don't do. Every city has its areas to avoid, and I never go out at night unless it is necessary.

Well, it used to be that "white, male, under 40 years of age" was a good stereotype for mass murderers and serial rapists. John Wayne Gacy. Ted Bundy. Richard Ramirez. Jeffrey Dahmer. Leonard Lake. Gary Ridgway. Kenneth Bianchi.

The DC Snipers broke that rule.

The Club Q shooter is "non-binary". I could be wrong, but that is probably the "q" in LGBTQ.

And this just in. Wal*Mart worker shoots up the break room.

Mental instability is not tattooed on their foreheads otherwise it would be too easy to spot the future mass shooter.
Law enforcement does not have the tools to help the mentally ill. A lot of grey areas. Psychologists and psychiatrists who do deal with the mentally ill are oftentimes bound by confidentiality. What is a doctor supposed to do? Report that one of their patients has the potential to be dangerous? What can the police do? Does any law enforcement agency have the resources to place someone under surveillance based on reports from family and friends? You can place someone on a hold for psychiatric evaluation - but they will more than likely be released after 72 hours. What about the mentally ill person's constitutional rights? We can't force them to get help. We can't force them to take medication. We can't lock them up before they commit a crime, in hopes of preventing them from committing a crime.

Non binary my donkey. There is male and female. Just because someone is mentally ill and claims to be a brick doesn't make them a brick.

Some will say that you are, whatever you identify as. Remember Rachel Dolezal? She used a skin strainer from a bottle, and permed her hair, then told everyone that she was transracial.

Who could forget Elizabeth Warren? She wants to be POTUS.

I want to identify as Saudi, for the oil money.

I was a tow truck in my youth, but I grew up to be a Superbird. How is that possible?

I'm like Steve Martin. I was born a poor black child. When I grew up, I became indigenous, until I was 21. Then I became a comedian.

I just got done with the other boneless bird. Just in time. It's a little after 9 PM.

The festivities will begin shortly. Food and drink to welcome in Turkey Day. Counting down to midnight. Cans of beer toasting in The Day of The Turkey. Then it will be a 4 day long blur of eating too much, drinking too much, and structuring new debt by overspending on holiday sales. For me, mostly eating and drinking. Actually, all eating and drinking. As I have no money to spend on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

We gave one of the turkeys away. So, we only had one to eat. My 15-year-old granddaughter cooked it. She had never cooked a turkey before. She did a good job. We all liked it.

Wow! That's great. Only 15, and making Thanksgiving dinner. I'm glad you have so much food, that you can share a whole turkey with someone else.

How about everyone else around here? Did everyone gain a few pounds? I have enough leftovers that I won't cook until next week.

I went by Safeway today. Avocado for $0.87 each. The store was deserted. More workers than shoppers. Everyone must be eating leftovers, Black Friday shopping, or can't afford to buy anything else because Thanksgiving dinner cost about $87 per person to make. Add in a cola, and it's $100 per person.

I'm poor. I really can't afford to spend more money. Or spend any money. But the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales got to me. I bought a few things for myself. Why? Because these are things that nobody else would buy for me. Nothing I desperately needed. Just a few miscellaneous tools that I've wanted. Things I've looked at, didn't buy, and now it's at a lower price. The worst part is that I am not a mechanic. So I will get to use these odd items...... I don't even know when. But they are tools which are functional. So I will find a use for them eventually.

Just for reference, I have small, delicate hands.
