UTT Camera Pro TRLR Backup Ast

OK….so I got this option on my 2022 F-350. When I watch the video it talks about a Trailer Sensor Kit. Should this have come with the truck? It is a Dock Station, a sensor,
wire harness, bracket and straps.

Have you looked in the glove box or under the back seat?

You should have gotten stickers at the very least, which are used for conventional towing. I think it depends on if you have the 5th wheel option or not for the additional harnesses or what not. If you can’t find anything you should contact your dealer.

yea…the stickers came in the little booklet for that option. The video on the option goes straight into that hardware and doesn’t say it is optional or anything. You may be right about the 5th wheel option though. The dealer was no help…They never heard of the hardware kit apparently.

Okay…sorry. It is in those things we rarely read called instructions. Another huge reason to suck up the delay and get the 5th Wheel Prep kit on the order. It would have been rlly nice for someone at the dealer to explain all of this when we discussed leaving it off the order. You spend 80 grand you would like to get it right…. That kit would now cost me $825. Real nice Ford.

When I ordered my truck the dealer was unsure of how to order the yaw sensor. From reading the forum I correctly assumed the sensor would be included if the Pro Trailer Backup Assist and the 5th Wheel prep packages were BOTH ordered, which I did. I waited 160 days for my truck and that inclusion might have cost me 2 or 3 weeks delay. No big deal.

But just to be sure, we wrote up a little note that the dealer would include the yaw sensor in the deal at their cost if it were not included with the truck.

I recall the salesman holding up the plastic wrapped sensor kit and saying "Is this what you are talking about?" I chose this dealer and sales guy because I could trust them. He knows something about trucks, but he knows everything about Lincolns.

Glad you had a better informed salesman but this post belongs in the new orders thread.

Okay..it just keeps getting better…lol. So even if I buy the hardware kit the plug is not there for it. My truck has the 7pin and 4 pin vs the plug you see in the 3rd pic on the left. Glad I waisted money on an option that is crippled without the 5th Wheel prep option…that the dealer said I should just add after delivery…. I’ll back the damn truck up myself…no big…but I spent the money on the option…ugh.

If it makes you feel any better, I have all that stuff and have it installed but have never considered using it. I’d rather back up the old fashioned way. The only reason I ordered the option was for the 360* cameras.

I only installed the sensor because I was hooking up the trailer TPMS and customer placed camera and figured I might as well stick that thing on while I was at it.

These guys have a lot of the stuff you will need.

Yeah I really wanted the UTT package because of the 360 cameras… too bad they packaged them with the PTBA making the price ridiculous, but I guess Ford figured not many would buy the PTBA on its own.

yea…it does make me feel a little better…but still…I thought it was an expensive option but decided to get it….now I get half of what I paid for not knowing the dealer wasn’t knowledgeable about what I was giving up not getting the 5th wheel prep. Just a little frustrating paying $80 grand and waiting 7 months and not getting what you wanted….
