I bought a camera/tpms in a new never before opened box to mount on my fifth wheel. The box is labeled number LC2Z1A189A 1X and I think it contains what I need, however, I see there's also a kit labeled LC3Z1A189A as well and according to what I find on the internet this kit contains the exact same components. Anyone know what the difference is between these two kits? My truck is a 2022 F350 Platinum with the protrailer back up assist
I believe one comes with the optional yaw sensor and the other does not. I think for a 5th wheel you want the yaw sensor, for a bumper pull you don't need it.
Thanks, that sounds good. I was worried the 3Z kit might be for sync 4 and the 2Z kit that I got was for sync 3. In my case the yaw sensor came with the truck so as long as the new wiring harness has a lead for each component I should be good. And, in actuality, if I end up without a lead for the yaw sensor I'm still happy.
Even if you have a bumper pull, you want the yaw sensor. The vision based system is terrible at identifying the trailer sticker in anything but optimum lighting conditions. ALL F150s with the PTBA, now come with the yaw sensor.
^^^ I've got an extra yaw sensor. If I install the12 pin connector, from this camera kit, on to my truck's bumper I could use my extra yaw sensor on my motorcycle trailer. I think in my case I won't bother .... the PTBA is kind of neat, but, I don't like how it severely limits the speed at which you can back up a trailer.
