Steering question

I have a 1993 f-150. When I turn the steering wheel slightly it make almost a grinding sound but not quite that and I was wondering how to fix that or if it needs to be replaced.

It is very common for Ford power steering pumps to make a whining/grinding noise. I would check your power steering fluid level. If its full you're fine. This is completely normal.

Could also be your fan chewing on your fan shroud. As the wheels turn the frame flexes and everything shifts around. The shroud could just be misaligned or out of shape. Collapsed body mounts and broken engine mounts will exacerbate this problem.

Just something else to check.
