Some Odd issues
I have a 2011 ford f350 6.7 truck that has been pretty good to me for several years. About a week ago I was encountering a miss fire on my way home and when I got home I pulled code P1249 for a wastegate control valve performance and a code for P1268 Cylinder 8 High to Low side short. So I cleared the codes with my reader and drove it the next day. I did feel a sight miss when driving it and checked the codes when I stopped. Code P1249 came back. So a did a quick check on checking the vacuum line which I read can be the cause of that. Nothing odd or broken on the vacuum lines. When so on my way back it ran like a 3 legged dog. Pulled codes again and ended up with codes P1249, P1268, P1267, P02F4. I have on order a new wastegate vacuum solenoid to be delivered to possibly replace it.
My questions is could the wastegate solenoid cause those injector issues to pop up? I just read about cp4 or something with a high-pressure fuel pump and it shredding apart. But not sure where to start or think on this issue. I would take it to a shop but the nearest shop to work on it is 2 hrs away.
Does anyone have any insight on what I might check? Thank you in advance.
