Hey everyone, been awhile since I've been on, my EX is a 2000, 6.8 4wd. I have 230,000 miles and am going to do ball joints tie rods and other associated parts, my question is what should I use? Truck is a daily driver for me and the family butt hauler. Anything I tow is far below the limit and any off road use is mild, any and all previous experience is welcome, I looked through the teck threads and didnt see anything that might cover this. Thanks, Rob.
I tried a set of Moog ball joints and they were so tight I replaced them with OEM within 20,000 miles. I kept having to correct my steering back and forth. Now, no more problems.

Moog isn't what they used to be. I had a similar experience.
I put Moog on my Excursion and never really liked the way they felt. They always seemed tight. I put the XRF's on my f250 and I like the way it steers and handles. I would do XRF's again the next time.
Pardon my lack of mechanic knowledge but you can't go wrong with OEM. A lot of engineering went into the design with OEM parts so.... I go with tried and true. Just my humble opinion...
