Run/start relay timeout

I like to use the stereo/refrigerator in my truck (with engine off) when I am in the garage. I have an auxiliary battery terminal hookup that I connect a 10a trickle charger to, keeping my battery charged.

After 30 minutes or so with the radio on the truck will enter the battery preservation mode and force me to cycle the key. When I cycle the key, everything works as intended because my trickle charger is keeping my battery topped off.

It would appear this battery preservation mode is "dumb" and is attached to a timer and does not monitor voltage. If it monitored voltage the truck would never enter this state of forcing me to cycle the key. (Again, because my 10a battery tender is keeping the battery charged)

Is this a forscan setting I can change? Any suggestions? I'm quite familiar with forscan btw. Thanks.

When the truck goes into this state the Sync screen turns gray and a blue progress bar on a timer appears.

Since no one else has responded, I would say put a fridge and a stereo in your garage and enjoy them outside of your truck.

Are you talking about the in dash radio? There is a Forscan change to extend the time before it times out, I think up to 60 minutes. Also there is a power point time out change that can be made.

Haha, while that would work. What fun is that.

I am planning on using the same method when camping too. Cutting down on ice and bringing a stereo, powering the battery tender with a Honda generator.

Thanks. yeah. Dash radio. It sounds like need to figure out what the code is called to extend that timer up to 60 minutes. Maybe the code is in the APIM? Power point is not what I'm after, since this timeout is happening when the key is in the on position.
