Auto headlights?

Auto headlights?
1999 Explorer AWD V8 Eddie Bauer. I noticed the headlights are staying on for a long time and yesterday I couldn't start the truck. I've turned the rheostat on the mirror down as far as it goes to no avail. Is there a fuse I can pull to disable this function or what else can I do. Thanks.
