First off, this is directed at no one in particular and everyone (including me!!)
I can spell no better than most (but Firefox on Linux has one of the best auto spell checkers around!!) and I also frequently screw up the grammar and punctuation!! (" I'm an Engineer Jim, NOT a bricklayer or an English teacher" )
But PLEASE, lets try not to allow "others" to think "we" are all just a bunch of back-yard, shade-tree, redneck mechanics and drivers!! (who cannot spell or use correct grammar!!)
What to Know: VANE almost exclusively refers to a piece of metal that spins on an axis, like a weather vane. OR turbocharger variable VANE.
The homophone VAIN is typically an adjective meaning "prideful" or "conceited," but is also heard in the phrase in vain, meaning "tried without success" or "pointless.". OR "You're so VAIN, you probably think this song is about you!!"
Lastly, VEIN often refers to tubes that carry blood, and in the same vein is a phrase used figuratively when multiple things follow the same line of thought or action. (There ain't no veins in any turbocharger....however there could be blood if you cut yourself R&R'ing one!! )
