Looking for some help with a 2WD front lift (2.5”). Installed new pucks, coils, shocks and adjustable camber bushings to accommodate new wheels and tires (33” x 12.5”). Cannot get enough camber adjustment and cannot find drop brackets. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I almost ended up in the same boat as you with the 2.5 inch kit but managed to see the light before i installed it and went a different direction.
Im guessing you got the ebay hit that includes the hockey picks, and probably the 2 inch rear tapered blocks and some shocks? yeah, they have no clue how to spec a proper kit for an excursion which i discovered...
I ended up going with pro-comps 6 inch lift kit, its the only one i found that would guarantee proper fit and function. I didn't originally want 6 inches, but in the end, it actually came out nice, and i like the height that i ended up with.
Unfortunately, 2 WD and lift really don’t go together. I tried to lift my front end, but I couldn’t get the camber correct.
I managed to get 1 1/4” lift up front using Z code rated springs. Rears were handled by C codes and RAS.
I agree with MasterX. Same boat. I ended up pulling the trigger on the Pro Comp 6" lift too. After researching and seeing all the issues people were having with alignment problems and parts hitting each other with the leveling kits, I just went with the full suspension kit. Rides so much better and the lift isn't too much in my opinion. I didn't want to go 6" either, but it's all that's offered for RWD.
The ride did definitely improve on mine, and so did the load capacity, my old leafs were thrashed, now i can drop my trailer on, and no discernible squat is evident.
