Trailer Brake Controller Fuse Location

Trailer Brake Controller Fuse Location

I did search this forum first and did find some info but not what I'm looking for. I popped some fuses a while back (long story, prob doesn't matter here) and was able to find and replace the other one but now I'm looking for the fuse(s) for my trailer brake controller., can't seem to find it listed in my owners manual and I really don't want to check every single fuse/relay in the truck. anyone know which fuse or relay it is?

Edit: 2002 F150 XLT w/ 4.2L

Ford did not factory-install or prewire the F150 of your era for TBCs.

If you have one, it's aftermarket (or dealer-installed) and you'll have to figure it out by inspecting the wiring to see where power was tapped into.

ya, i knew it was aftermarket, I ws just hoping there was a common fuse slot that was stand for accessories like that. but thanks.

These trucks actually are prewired for a controller, but Ford didn’t actually put out their own controllers yet.

If this is accurate, it looks like fuse 108 under the hood powers your TBC.

I didn’t drive the ‘03 today, so I don’t have my manual nearby. I certainly didn’t recall anything major for the TBC circuit power under the dash, so it makes sense on the surface. Lots of stuff for lights and the battery charge circuit, too.
