What chip and tunes do I have?
Hello all. I have 2017 f350 srw with 148k miles on it. Had it about a year. Practically stole it in the repo lane at auction (I own a small car lot needed a tow vehicle) when I bought it it was obviously deleted, 5 inch turbo back with no dpf/egr and had blue block off plates
I love the truck and am keeping her of course. Im hoping someone on here will have a similar setup and can give some insight in what I’ve got. I’m trying to figure out where to look or how to determine what actual chip and piggy back tunes are setup on the truck. Whoever owned it seemed to do things right until they stopped paying for it. There is no programmer and the obd2 port is stock.
It has a 5 way switch with tunes, the farther right I turn the more coal I roll. I’m having to guess by how the truck performs and tows but from what I can tell:
1st position- stockish
2nd position- better gas mileage than 1st
3rd position- pull better
4th position- pulls better and rolls a lot of coal
5th position- ***** to the wall fast and smokes like a freight train
The 5 way switch wires run under the dash straight through the firewall and looks like it goes to the engine bay. I can’t see anything after that
any input?
