Ive used a lot of info from here before i signed up to do some research and it was huge in helping me negotiate a price.. Now, sound off as to whether or not i did good?
So far, i've gotten the dealership down to 45,924 after everything. And i didn't bring up the $750 coupon yet for being a previous ford new car purchaser (not sure if that still applies).
They offered me 26,000 for my Silverado just based off that ad without seing it in person- which is slightly higher than excellent based on the values on kbb, etc..
What do u guys think? Do i have any more wiggle room or do u think thats it?
Yes, plenty of room to wiggle. You've only got them $1000 off their "sale price". You won't get "left over" pricing until calendar year 2013...in 27 days. Even then, there will still be alot of 2012's left.
I got my 2011 this past August as a left over. On a $63K window sticker I got them down to $48K.
What he said.....it's just a game that is played until someone gets tired of it and wants to make a decision. If you get anywhere from 8%-14% off sticker, you're doing fine.
Nice looking truck. I have not seen many Lariat trucks with 18" wheels.
I looked at their other trucks. The grey Stock #: WC7643 Lariat looks nice and has the larger wheels and tires. Just slightly more expensive, they have a nice sale going on.
Now the dealership and I are going back and fourth....Last night when we spoke after they closed, I was quoted for a price with 3000+1500+ 1.9% financing (the 45924).
Now they are trying to tell me I lose the 3000 with the 1.9 financing after they already said yes... This dealer is 4 hours away, and i was ready to get the truck today...but now they pulled this. So, i wait lol.. we'll see what they come back with now.
I had virtually the same trade from the Z71 to the SD. I took the Ford rebates and financed through Ford at 6.9%. I turned around and got my credit union to pay off the truck at 1.9% and kept the rebates totaling about 12k. Take all the rebates you can get. BTW, you will love the truck compared to the Z71
So another update... Went to a local dealer and got a 2012 F350 white KR without navi down to 53 and change from 63 and walked out... I think it'll be best to sell my truck private first so I have more bargaining leverage....this dealer was trying to tell me 57k was invoice..I was pretty sure invoice for a KR without navi was ~55. ?
Ask to see the invoice. A dealer that won't show you invoice, is hiding something. I don't think one gets a "great deal" until the dealer starts talking about "Hold Back." If you get them to start splitting that with you, you've done your due diligence.

That's pretty standard... Either the dealer gives you the rebate and gets kick back on a higher interest rate or they keep the rebate and washes on the lower interest rate.

The only one the guy would show me was the bootleg printed list that's on a regular piece of printer paper ... Where they can manipulate the numbers however they want.
