Reset Outside Air Temp When Parked?

Just had a sim issue, dash read -37 f, ac would not turn on, only heat then went to high idle! ( it was 79 f outside actually) Finally went to the correct temp reading after 20 min. My mech told me to get a new AAC sensor, checked everywhere and non available in Texas anywhere. Gonna try Rockauto tonight
