Hi. I need to pick up a core to build an e4od for my 1992 e350 van. Found one out of running/driving 1996 F series. Transmission rebuilder is telling me it won't work because 1996 is OBD2. I'm pretty sure this is nonsense, can anyone confirm that a1996 transmission will swap into 1992 van using the old style 94 and down solenoid pack? Thanks for any input.
Thanks for the confirmation Mark. I thought this was the case, but wanted to make sure I didn't waste money on the wrong parts for my application.
Not true, the 92 has diodes on the valve body solenoids and ford moved them into the ecc computer in 95 ?? You better do more research between the differences.

He said he was using the old style solenoid body. I didn't see the need to repeat that. Until now.
