E4OD Tranny for 1990 E350 5.8L van died.
My E4OD PRA-FA with dash push button tranny burned up after 140K. Looking for identical one to replace it locally. No Luck. Was told a PRA-EA5 from a 91 van with a 4.9 was interchangeable but I am ignorant of such things. Any one know of what other models may be installed and pluged in correctly to the electronics?

I don't know about model numbers but I think any E4OD from a '88-'94 300, 302 or 351w should work. There were some rewiring issues with '95 and newer, and anything from a 460 or diesel has a different bellhousing. Should just bolt right up, I think. Just make sure it's for 2wd, the tailshaft is different for 4x4.
