To the OP's question, it's very likely all of the aftermarket chrome valve covers you're looking at are from one source, so shopping the various vendors for price and terms will be to your benefit. If you're truly looking for quality, you can't beat sending off a set of OEM covers to a chrome shop to have done. Yes, you will pay considerably more, at least 4x, but the cover material will be heavier, and the chrome will last longer and look better than what you'll get from an offshore copy.
Yea I've been thinking about that. I'd have to call and ask. there are only a couple around here and the guy I have used(JBs chrome) for 50 years for all my cars is closed up.I do like the heavier metal of the y block covers.Anyway right now I just got the engine cleaned and painted some sort of ford corporate blue that came out real nice.My current covers are painted 55 gm adobe beige same color as the grille and air cleaner.Might just leave it
