Brought the truck out to the front yard yesterday and was ask by an older gentleman if I had put the transmission to auxiliary transmission drive shaft in backwards. Indicating the slip joint should be connected to the transmission. I looked at my disassembly photos again, but realized those could be wrong to. Is there a preferred way?
Maybe I'm wrong, but from a practical standpoint, I can't understand why it would matter where the slip joint is located from trans to auxiliary box. There isn't that much movement from engine torque. Auxiliary box to differential is connected like it was in stock config. I think you're good.
