I have a 2004 f-350 6.0 that has been having some issues. It was running really rough and was throwing injector codes saying imbalance/low contribution. I took the injector wiring harness out and found all the wires where grounding out to eachother and just in bad shape. I ordered a new one and installed it and it ran great with no codes for about a week, then it through a code saying for injector 7 and then 8 and a misfire at 6 all within an hour of driving it back home it got worse. I made it home and took the wiring harness off again and it looks good, I actually ordered 2 harnesses for a similar problem I’m having with another truck so just to see I put the other new wiring harness in I cleaned all connections and it still runs like crap and the same codes are there, could this be a bad ficm? Or a mess of bad injectors?
UPDATE: I went to start the truck and noticed a few lights on the dash and it started the key chime like the key was in it but the key was not, then it locked and unlocked the doors 4-5 times and would crank super super low. I finally got it started to read the ficm power and it read O.L on my multimeter but the truck still runs. I’m not sure what this means but it’s acting extremely weird, could all this be caused by bad wiring? I have looked at some of the other connections on the wiring harness that goes from the ficm to other places and some of those wires are bare to.
Yea I have two very ****ty battery’s with some corrosion. My alternator is good I got it tested a while ago. Can bad batteries that crank low cause all of these issues with injectors?

weak batteries can take a ficm out which will make for all kinds of injection issues. They are known to cause havoc. Get two new batteries and clean your terminals spotless and treat them so it never happens again. Then start troubleshooting from there.
Turns out the battery place I get them from is closed on the weekend. Do you think if I took them both out and cleaned it up really good and trickle charged them?

It would probably help but if you got weak/failed batteries your playing with fire on these engines. You need to be able to keep your cranking volt drop above 10.5vdc
They have been touchy so far. Okay when you had mentioned that I did notice I had to get jumped a few times and a few days after the first jump my very first injector code came up. I had to get jumped 2-3 more times because it would crank really low start for a split second and die. Then I replaced the harness and because I did that I was trickle charging my batteries. Then it worked just fine and now it’s cranking way low again and my batteries are showing 9 volts just sitting, koeo shows my ficm power at like 3volts and dropping, when I turn the key on it goes right to OL

I wouldn’t keep trying to run it with failed batteries unless you want to buy a ficm.
They’ve been charging for about an hour and a half. They read 13.5 volts hooked up to the charger and leaked down to 12.95 after a few minutes and have stayed there for 15 minutes, are they bad or just need charged more?
The battery has held at 12.9 for hour now and hasn’t changed so I think they are good, they read about 13.5 while the truck is running and the ficm still reads ol
