My 2000 7.3 has a missfire now after it wouldn't start so I got a parts truck that was running and started swapping parts changed the hpop the fuel pump has a new IDM a new CPS a new IPR a new ICP checked the wires on the valve cover.
The mechanic tried to hook up his code reader and it wouldn't pick up my truck for some reason could the hpop not be producing enough or could I have water in the fuel ohh and the service engine soon light comes on and stays on when the truck is running didnt do that before
When the truck was running It was running great no missfire or anything then it wouldn't start so started swapping parts.

You need to hook it up and see if there are any codes as aforementioned. It would also be a big help to have more information on the truck...like mileage, modifications, etc....
