Years ago I had a friend with a 455 Rocket under the hood of a Buick station wagon. We had a blast with that sleeper!

My dad hooked up NOS in his old school station wagon back in the day. Pretty funny stuff just to think about.

What do you mean? 1/4 mile times? Don't know...... the 67 is the monster but its mainly a 0-60 machine (I don't street race). After we move to our new place I fully intend to find out.

I called Friday afternoon and talked to Ken about the chip. It should be here before the Thanksgiving holidays. As soon as I get it, I am going to install it and probably take some pics or something. So far from what I hear, it's going to be pretty awesome. If I had to guess I'd say Wednessday.

Well, the dates have changed yet again for when I'll recieve the chip. WORDS OF ADVICE: If you order the chip, do it by Credit Card of Money Order!

It's going to be (maybe) next week. Phew, it's hard not to get frustrated sometimes.

Get a debit card Joe....They are just as quick as CC's...thats how I bought my performance package from one company. Instantaneous gratification. I am confuzzled about something. I am going to drop a scenario down, let me know if it should be moved or not. Here it goes:

As we all know, I am supercharging my truck. I am kind of a moron when it comes to truck electronics. I pretty much have invested 0 hours into learning. I have heard RAVE reviews about the Diablo sport chip. In fact, I wish I had originally bought one instead of what I got. So heres the scenario:

You have a 2000 4.2L V6 F-150. You have JBA Headers, Gibson SI/DO exhaust, a Poweraid TB Spacer, and a few other items that arent performance related. So, youve saved up, and actually found someone that sells a 4.2L supercharger kit. It is a Vortech V2-SQ head unit, and ALL materials needed to install. You are excited, but then you remember you need to correct your computer for the upcoming increase in HP. What do you do? Do you send in your computer to have your ECU reflashed, or do you order a custom 2 Stage Diablo chip? I dont know the difference, really. I would assume the chip would be more beneficial. You could have program one be an ultra-conservative fuel economy (within the limits of a supercharged truck) burn, and program 2 be a fuel-burning, tire-squealing, rice-cookin race burn. If you get the ECU reflashed/updated, or whatever, do you still need to get a chip? What is the best option?

Cause Ken can make some money? and make the site better?

From what I see, it has the three? stage programming, you can have it reprogrammed for cheaper, or free everytime. every serious upgrade.

Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a SC come with a chip? If figure that would be mandatory. Also, I'd ask this in the Chip Forums. It's a good question. If the SC didn't come with a chip, I'd get a Diablo chip programmed for your exhaust and SC. I really don't know the answer to that one.

The SC doesnt come with one for the simple fact that its made for stock trucks IE, you can go buy a brand new, off the production line 4.2, and bolt it in. No nothin needed. The chip/reflash are what optimize future upgrades, like larger fuel injectors, bigger MAF, etc.

After talking with my POC for the SC, I am going to get a chip, I will email Ken once Im installed and have a couple dollars. Thanks guys.
