A tuner doesn't come with a chip. It reprograms the stock EEPROM in the PCM. A chip accomplishes the same task by switching off the stock EEPROM and turning on its own EEPROM.

Oh..I wasnt talking tuner Ken...I was looking into a dyno tuner, hooks up to the serial port and does his magical thing. I want to get an idea of a chip, I will be emailing you shortly.

Garrett, I'm happry for you man. I hope that SC blows people away! Anyways, if I were to get a chip, the Diablo is what I'd get for the SC.

Yeah....Its what I want, Ive just had a hell of a time explaining what Im looking for. An ultra conservative phase with the SC running, and an ultra liberal phase, for turnin and burnin. Does that make sense? So I can keep decent MPG on long trips, and smoke those damn 5.4's on the street with a flip of the switch.

Yea, makes sense to me. Hey, if you're gonna spend the $$$ go for it.

Also, my check FINALLY cleared Saturday. The chip should definately without a friggin' doubt be on it's way now...thank God.

Joe,

You should be getting that this week. Merry Christmas to yourself for the early gift. I can't wait til' you install it and test it. If you run into problems, I can take a bunch of pictures of my install and email them to you, just let me know.

Definately post us up some results Joe. Do you plan on running it on a strip, like before and after?

I don't think Joe has a track close enough for that. And I'm sure he's going to violently rip the package open when it arrives, and install it on his lunch break....I know I did

Well, I'm going to run it at Hallsville in Tyler hopefully one weekend. If not, I'll just re-race my Acura friend. The chip will set sail to my house tomorrow morning.
