Recently (July-Aug 22') my 2005 F350 6.0L has been dying for no apparent reason. I had it checked out and it is not giving any error codes. Once it dies it fires right back up as if you simply shut off the key. The problem seems to be occurring after cold starts when shifting into park or now into drive and reverse. It has happened several times while slowing to make a turn too. It will happen 3-4 time in a row before I can get the truck moving and will happen again when I stop, sometimes. Thing is it is not consistent and happens at random making it near impossible to duplicate. I thought it may be the crank shaft sensor but I'm told that that tends to be more of a problem when the engine is hot which is the exact opposite of what I have going on. I'm going to try another tech this week but so far everyone has been dumbfounded by what is going on. Any ideas?? I need help from someone who knows the 6.0L inside and out please. It has a bout 150,000 miles on it up in the North East half of which and most recent have been in the state of Maine. Thanks,
I have a hard time believing there are no codes. Although there are a few exceptions to this - usually a stall event or a dying event will throw a CKP or CMP code (even though it probably isn't a cam OR crank sensor issue).

What are you using to read codes?
I have a BOSCH ProGrade OBD II Scan Tool and I'm sure my diesel tech has something much more sophisticated but I don't know what. Like I said gonna try another tech and set up to monitor the system for irregularities later this week.
Not sure about posting videos?? But I did pull the EGR took a video of what it looked like. Didn't look all too bad to me(nothing like when I was having problems before replacing it 6 mo ago), came out easy enough, by hand. Cleaned it and reinstalled it and the problem persists! will mention that the upper O-ring looked in good shape but may not be fully sealing?? hence the video to show a more knowledgeable eye. But when I was having EGR problems before it was coding out as such. . .
